Considering a presentation about Roger Sherman or the founding fathers?
Book this 50 minute talk in-person or via Zoom and learn about the American Revolution, America's early congressional endeavors and Roger Sherman as a person.
An educational & entertaining illustrated talk.
Roger Sherman's foray into politics began with his appointment to New Haven county surveyor in 1745. He served as a public servant in many positions including election to the Connecticut General Assembly in 1755. He would become the largest land owner in Litchfield County, authored numerous almanacs, and became a contemporary with George Washington.
He was known for his sharp wit and keen intellect, a master of debate and negotiation, often mediating disputes between his fellow founding fathers. His ability to see both sides of an argument and find common ground made him an invaluable asset to the fledgling nation.
