As the U.S. entered WWI the country had about 250 military aircraft. Yet we had people wanting to help Europe with Aviation. Funny in 1918 Europe was ahead of the U.S. in aircraft design and volume production. Most reports suggest the country could produce a couple of thousand aircraft at most. Yet this story was covered in a 1918 New York newspaper. What do you think was the motive?
